Well, sorry it took so long to finally repost. After a busy August (surprisingly so), getting everything finally together, Taine and I left for Berlin. And by the way, Berlin is pretty Awesome. This is the Charlottenberg Schloss (Palace), and I kid you not, it is about a five minute walk from our apartment. Pretty awesome!
...and behind the palace there is a really nice garden, as well as several paths that snake through a small forest like park. Its really quite nice!

This is the first time I have put a real portrait up on this site. Unlike photos of inanimate objects, color is extremely important in portraits. So I have tried to correct the image, so that it will look good on most monitors...However, I have noticed that on some monitors it seems that skintones are a bit more washed out. Rest assured it is your monitor, not the image :->

Endlich, ein herrlicher Tag! After days of unbearable heat and humidity, Pittsburgh finally enjoyed a beautiful day, and I wasn't about to let this opportunity slip by! I grabbed my camera, and took lots of pictures, enough to keep the site busy for the next couple of weeks. That's right! No more boring photos around my apartment, and other various projects. Also, after being tipped off by the wonderful Tiny Dancer, I am now a proud owner of the newest Adobe Creative Suite 2 (the sequel). So hang on guys, we're in for some wild, wild times.

Well, I am officially back in Pittsburgh. So the long wait is finally over, as I am now able to post new photos. ...And boy do I have a treat in store. While in St. Louis, I went to the Art Museum several times, and I decided that I really need to begin working on still lifes. Using home odds-and-sods, I will be expanding and experimenting with still lifes. Over the next couple of days, I will be posting a series I took yesterday. Enjoy!

This is a photo I took in Boston. For some reason, I'm really drawn to photos taken at this perspective. I think it may have to do with the fact that people rarely look straight up in their day-to-day lives. I don't know...just a thought.

Well, I'm back (sort of). Unfortunately, my right shoulder was broken during the assault and since I cannot raise my right hand to the shutter release button, I will be incapable of taking any new photographs for a couple more weeks. Thus, I have decided to republish older photos. However, as soon as I'm able to correctly calibrate my parents monitor, I will begin to experiment with my older work to create pictures that better match my artistic intent. Enjoy!

Believe it or not, up until today none of my photos had been properly optimized for the web. I had my first suspicions when comparing my photos on my desktop to those on the web. This is the same tree that I photographed in Treeo1. However, this was taken on a different day and with a differed DOF. If you notice, unlike Tree01, in this photo only the closet branches are in focus.

I bought a 60mm macro lens with 1:1 magnification for my Rebel Xt. Since this was a handheld shot, I needed to use a large apeture which creates a shallow depth of field (DOF). However, I rather enjoy the DOF in this picture. Tell me what you think!

Many of my friends have asked me to keep a photoblog. Well, I guess this will be a first* attempt.
